Vultures play a very important part in keeping our ecosystems healthy and clean. They do not hunt live prey, but instead are scavengers; they are able to consume carcasses infected with diseases such as anthrax, cholera, and rabies (to name a few) that would otherwise be lethal to other creatures. They help prevent the spread of disease around the world.

In “Rebirth”, I have chosen natural symbolism to reflect this, as well as their symbolism in many cultures.

* The vulture represents purification, death and rebirth, and new vision.
* The snake represents death and rebirth, wisdom, and transmutation
* The white lily buds represent purity.

20% of proceeds will be donated to the World Bird Sanctuary of St. Louis. They are a wonderful organization who’s mission is to preserve the earth’s biological diversity and to secure the future of threatened bird species in their natural environments. They work to rehabilitate injured birds, educate the community, and work with propagation of species.
